Hurricane Relief

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We pray for those who are in harms way due to the Hurricane in Texas and Louisiana. Hurricane Hugo has, by all accounts been a storm of enormous proportions, one that has destroyed life and property. Many millions of people have been effected by this storm and we pray that their suffering may be relieved.

Many of you have asked how you may assist people in Texas and Louisiana. While we do not have parishes that have been harmed by the hurricane, we suggest that you send monetary contributions to the American Red Cross, identified as "Hurricane relief".

We will be in contact with our sister jurisdictions to learn if there are any specific ways we may assist their parishes.

Above all continue to pray that God will compassionate the suffering of all those who have been harmed by this terrible storm.

Your Brother in Christ,
