September 8, 2022 Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

It is with profound sadness that we join our fellow Anglicans around the world in mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Her late Majesty served the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth throughout her seventy-year reign and before that as Princess.

While not our monarch or temporal leader, Queen Elizabeth stood apart from other world leaders as one who set her faith before all else in her life. Her devotion to our Lord and her life of prayer, rooted in the Book of Common Prayer, provided an example of Christian living to all.

It is with profound sorrow that we receive the news of The Queen’s passing today at Balmoral Castle. Our prayers are with the members of the Royal Family, particularly His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla.

Well done, thou good and faithful servant. May She rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon her.
